Poll for Upstate Ladies
I've been wanting to host a Christmas cookie swap. Basically each person makes a bunch of ONE cookie, and then you all get together, have a little party, and swap out the cookies so you go home with a variety of goodies.

All of my baking stuff is stored but I think that I could crank out some no bake cookies any day.
(whispers) Or if you bought good bakery cookies, and put them on your own plate, we'd probably never know the difference.
You can do it! Ask some friends or family for their tried and true recipes.
OR the last cookie swap I went to, my MIL made the cookies for me at Thanksgiving, and then I froze them and dipped them in chocolate right beore the party.
I would do it! I'm nowhere near as good of a baker as I am a cook, but I would still love to participate.
It sounds like we have the makings of a great dinner party. AMA likes to bake but not cookies, you like to cook, Hudy is in culinary school... To heck with going out to eat for our next get together, sounds like we could open our own restaurant!
LOL...true. My husband LOVES to cook and even bake. He definitely will be making my cookies for the swap =P.
P.S. He actually wants to open his own restaurant. We're slowly working our way there.
Hey! No cheating!
My DH is NOT allowed to ever bake cookies unless they are the break apart ones you just stick in the oven. Ever since he put 1/3 CUP of baking powder into a cookie recipe (instead of 1/3 tsp!). They tasted like a$$! He is banned from cookie making. even break aparts are a challenge for him. LOL
That is HILARIOUS! yuck yuck yuck! Well we know we'll have to work it out when your DH is at home to watch the little man so you can cook
