San Diego...Here We Come!!
Hi Ladies,
I posted on this board a few weeks ago about recommendations on places to look to live around San Diego and you guys gave me some great advice. So thanks again! At that time I was still awaiting to hear about my interview and the position I had applied for, well I finally got the offer and am planning to accept today or tomorrow...so San Diego...here we come!
DH and I are sooo excited and we can't wait to get started. We are trying to plan our house hunting trip and are putting our house up for sale here in MD this weekend (cross your fingers for us).
So hopefully I will be around this board more often!!

Re: San Diego...Here We Come!!
Yay! San Diego rules and you're buying a house at the right time- prices are crazy low right now (though I hear they will keep getting lower!).
If you want a house hunting buddy let me know! We're buying soon, too, but my DH never wants to go out and look. He wants to wait until he sees "a deal" and then go look. I'd rather shop around personally.
Btw, I didn't contribute to the location suggestions because I wasn't here yet, but up until November of last year I lived in Crest. A lot of people will poo-poo Crest because it's technically part of El Cajon but I LOVED it up there! You're so high up that you actually get clean air. And the people are really cool, it's like a small town inside a big city- people still ride their horses to the store instead of driving. If that's what you're in to it's the most convenient area to live in. The downside is, there's only two ways in and out of the town- both going up/down the mountain side. So when there's a fire they kick you out right away so they don't have to deal with you getting trapped up there. So, if what happened in '07 is the trend, when there's a major fire you'll be evacuated early and let back in late, even though the fire never came within five miles!
Congrats on the new job and moving to SD, you'll LOVE it here!!!
We're closing on our first home in 2 weeks and if you need a fabulous realtor, just let me know (he's been so fantastic and I can't say enough great things about him and the person who's handling our loan).
