I just got an iPod touch, and wanted your recommendations for any good apps!
Re: iPod Apps
I just heard that there is a Sirius/XM app, if you have the Satellite service. I want an iPhone even more now that they have this app!
I have to admit I always look up apps after I see a new apps commercial, so I have a bunch of random apps (like the level app).
Shazam - if you hear a song you like you hold your ipod/iphone up to the speaker and it will tell you what the song is (free)
Zippo Lighter - fun, it is a zippo lighter (we were dorks and used it at a concert) (free)
zillow - I love this, you can look up home prices by using the gps. If you are in a neighborhood you like you can just hit the locate button and local home price estimates and listings pop up (free or cheap I forget)
the weather channel - useful to get weather, uses gps to tell where you are (not sure if ipods have them, iphones do) (free)
flashlight - to use screen light as flashlight (free)
wiki mobile - quick wikipedia interface (cheap)
Games -
Katamari - fun japanese game (not cheap)
peggle - super addictive, both dh and I are always playing this when we get stuck somewhere and need entertained (not cheap)
Sims3 - Not so into this one, I like the pc version better (not cheap)
textroplis - fun word game (cheap)
trivial pursuit - fun, you can play with others (not cheap)
I have the iPhone so I can get the same apps. I've only done the free ones so far and found some I like.
Lose It--it tracks what you eat, your exercise for you and has values already stored in it.
Unblockable--its a puzzle one that is really addicting
