We are visiting DH's sister in Middlebourne in November. I've never been to WV before. Any recommendations on things to see/do on our drive? We are pretty much driving through the entire state. Thanks!!
Re: Visiting WV
There is all kinds of cool mountian scenery. If your in the Canaan Valley area check out Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks. Oh, and Dolly Sods is really beautiful too, it's just wilderness and cool vegatation, but worth checking out for sure. Fayetteville/New River Gorge is awesome. The bridge is really cool, and well known for bridge day(one of the only legal places to base jump) and New River is amazing and has some of the best white water rafting in North America. If your into that, I would highly recommend it as it has been one of the funest things I have ever done in my life. Oops- I think the season is done in Nov., but you could always come back;)
Regardless, I hope you enjoy our state and your visit.
