I'm looking for a dress to wear to my cousin's wedding in 2 weeks. It's up north, at 11am (ugh), so I'm trying to find a sundress or something similar. (Judging by the venue, the invitations, and the fact that my cousin wore JEANS as a pallbearer at our grandpa's funeral, I'm thinking the wedding isn't going to be balls to the wall fancy.)
I'm having no luck finding anything appropriate.
I've looked at Gap, Banana (found a maybe), JCPenney, Kohl's, Target, The Limited, JCrew, Ann Taylor...and nothing really stood out.
What stores in the Madison area am I missing? I know I should head out to Greenway Station and check out Ann Taylor Loft, but what else? Or am I screwed because stores are bringing out fall stuff already?
Who wants to come shopping and help me?!
Re: I need a dress...for a wedding...
Looks like I'll be shopping this week. Darn.
Thanks for the suggestions!
I hate shopping for these types of weddings. Do you have a pair of slacks you can wear or even dress bermuda shorts? (Seriously, you will NOT be overdressed if you wear something like that with a top. I sadly have attended more of these weddings than really nice.)
Have you looked at:
Gap, Old Navy (Dress 1, Jersey Dress, Dress 2, Cross-Front Ruffle Dress), NY&Co (Ponte Dress, V-Neck Dress), J Crew (Ruffled Hem), Target, Kohls?
Good luck!
ETA: Sorry - about half of the ones I responded with, you've looked at. How about Dress Barn? I'm not sure what's down by you, but I'd look at about any store there was, and tend toward the ones I normally wouldn't hit (like Maurices, Charlotte Russe, etc.)

Think less like "I need a dress for a wedding" and more like "I need a dress for a cook-out." Then you'll be less likely to show up and be entirely overdressed.
