Where would you go for 1st anniversary dinner?

Our first anniversary is on Monday and we are staying at the Knickerbocker hotel ($70 on priceline, SCORE!) I can't decide where we should go for dinner.  I SO wanted to go to Fronterra Grill or Topolbompo(sp?) but they are closed on Mondays.  Any suggestions for a romantic, nice dinner that wouldn't be more that $200?

If it were us, we'd go to Ruth's Chris. Yes, it's a chain, but it's our favorite. We'll be in Vegas for our one-year (two weeks!) so we'll do Ruth's another time.

for nice dinners out...   i really like MK, Custom House, NaHa, or Japonais.    My favorite steakhouse in the city is N9NE, but that's not very romantic.  David Burke Primehouse is my other fav, and has a quieter feel to it.   Have a great dinner!  and happy anniversary!

Gejas, it's in Lincoln Park on Armitage, always voted most romantic, absolutely love that place    If you like a great steak, Keefers is excellent but not too romantic.  Lowery's has a really pretty setting, of course great food.  Capital Grill is nice too... Good luck!

We just celebrated our 1st anniversary last week at Wildfire. We were both very impressed with the service & food, and our total bill was about $100 including app, entree, dessert & wine. But you would want to make reservations ASAP as they tend to fill up fast.

ditto teambollman. I love Geja's! It is one of the most romantic places I've ever been, and the food is delicious (and fondue is always fun to eat).

Ruth's Chris all the way.  We usually get salad, steaks, sides, dessert, and about 6 martinis between us and it is usually about $175-200.

If you want romantic I would goto Capital Grill. It is in the Gold Coast/Streeterville area. It is expensive but if you have a budget of $200 you can do that here!
