I just have to share...I had told DH that I had a coupon for Petco for 10% off so I wanted to use it to get 2 bags of food for Byron to stock up because the type we buy isn't cheap and they don't usually have too many bags on hand because we feed for Giant breed dogs.
Well we ran there today after I left work and they only had 1 bag and this nice employee checked the back but no additional bags so then he checked the computer to see if they were getting more on Wednesday and unfortunately there weren't any on this week's list. DH says we'll we could wait another week and get 2 bags then and use the coupon then to get the bigger amount of money off but the employee says I'll give you the coupon percentage off that bag today so you can save your coupon for your next bags! So nice and who doesn't love saving money!!
Re: Great customer service today at Petco
Aww... how great! Isn't it amazing how great customer service can put you in a good mood? And really, thanks for sharing a *good* experience - I feel like everyone (myself included!) is always willing to share bad experiences, but good aren't shared often enough.
And on another note, isn't it ridiculous what you can spend on dog food? Maisie's food had to be switched after her last annual vet checkup, so I picked up a different formula, she hated it and refused to eat it (the dog who eats literally everything, edible or not), and I ended up back at the store buying a NEW formula and spending over $100 on dog food in the span of less than a week. Oh, the things we do for our dogs.

Ugh I know...a neighbor of ours gave us these treats to give Byron that are from our local Agway and he loved them. They are actual chicken wrapped around either sweet potato or bananas, etc and they have ones that have extra vitamins or glucosamine chondroitin in them. We started getting him those and the bags are $4.99 each and he went through a bag in one week
Yikes! With his size, I imagine you go through food/treats like crazy. We had to switch treats, too, with Maisie's new diet (vet suspected a mild allergy to lamb), and her new treats cost $6.99 for a tiny bag.
Luckily, we've always made it a habit to limit treats, but even so... ouch. I'll have to check out our Agway and see if they have these treats - sounds like something Maisie and Cal would love.

We have an Agway right here in town, Stacey - it's 1 block down/1 block back from the square.
... of course, please recall what county I'm from, and it'll all make sense that I have an Agway all of five blocks away from me.
eta: can I just add that I'm finding it amusing that we have "conversations" going on two different websites, on two different topics? I think I need to step away from the computer now.

Ha, yes, I think I need to step away from the computer too. I'm trying to do data analysis and Gregg had to help me because I was going batty looking at equations. I'm still jealous of your ice cream.
I will have to stop at the Agway next time we pass through, maybe this weekend.
We're fortunate that Agway is almost in our backyard...we can actual see it in the distance from our bedroom window...LOL. We get our propane for the grill there too.
Stacey- Byron is good...spoiled of course. He broke my one bronze ceramic stool the first week that Brad was in MD then over this weekend he broke the lamp in our entranceway (2nd lamp for that spot that he's broken) so I think that area is going to be lampless. I said to Brad about a wall sconce instead...LOL. Thanks for asking!!
Truth be told I wasn't too upset about the lamp...I had been thinking about putting it to my potential yard sale pile
The stool still gets me irritated since I've yet to find something else that's the right size/style for the space.
He's just so big I think he forgets his own size sometimes. I tell him he's like a bull in a china shop!
