Name brand or generic BCP
Ladies, I went to pick up my birth control pills last night, and they gave me the generic version. I have never taken generic BCP, are they really the same? Not sure why I am ok with the generic version of other medicines, but not that one... what do you think?
Sorry if TMI...

If it's cheaper and you've never been on that brand before, you should be fine. Just keep an eye on any symptoms you may develop and if it doesn't clear up then you can give the brand name a try. From what I understand, it's easier to switch up from the generic to the brand rather than doing it the other way around. I am actually doing that right now.
I switched BCPs in June. I'm giving my body some time to adjust and if that doesn't happen I'm going to try the brand and see how it goes. If that doesn't work I will be trying another pill.
thank you ladies, I know...it's only $10 and the name brand is $35 - $25 savings every month adds up!
According to the pharmacist, it's the same thing... so I am giving it a try.
