Orphan Free Screening tonight at the Block
I got two passes to a free screening of the movie Orphan at 9 pm at the Block at Orange. The only catch is the seats are not guaranteed. They overbook to ensure
a full house so its first come first serve so the sooner you get there
the better.
H has no interest to go so figured I'd see if anyone here would be interested.
Re: Orphan Free Screening tonight at the Block
OMG, the previews to that disturbing enough. No way.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Thats why H had no interest to see it, I would have only gone since it was free...
I heard this too. The studio responded by saying that they will put a pro-adoption PSA at the end of the dvd edition of the movie. I think that is one of the crappiest attempts at an apology that I have ever heard.
Oh come on.. this is silly. It's a scary movie!! Summer camps didn't lose all their business when Jason was hacking up people and toy companies didn't lose their credibility when Chuckie was running around. It doesn't say anything bad about adoption if some evil demon child is running amok in a scary movie.
I love that they're doing a PSA. I'm secretly hoping they meant it in a people-pleasing-but-really-im-being-ironic sorta way.
I think their choice of placing it at the end of a dvd that won't come out for months is exactly that.
