The one I go to is called Novare Salon, it's 503.231.1713. I see Dannielle but everyone there is fantastic. I've used B&b products for about 5 years now, and my hair is in great shape. Right now I use the Gentle Shampoo, Super Rich conditioner, the "blue" hairspray, and the white hair powder. I dye my hair every 6 weeks, and it's very healthy, I thinkbecause of the great products.
Shear Pleasures... I saw Jody DiBartolo andshe always used good products, but a wide range... some Redken, Pureology, etc... She was great and i would still be going to her if I lived closer.
awesome thank you thank you thank you! i think im going to call novare tomorrow first thing and see if they have any openings tomorrow...with my luck they probably won't, but i'm going to try!! thanks
do you get your hair dyed every 6 weeks or do you do it yourself? what color? back home i was getting my hair dyed red about every 6 weeks, but it got sooooo expensive (and i was getting a huge discount cause the girl was my friend)...and now i'm kind-of over the red (although i wish i was a natural red head sooooo bad) so i'm thinking of going back to my natural color...(dirty blonde)..we'll see...i used to dye my hair on my own all the time but haven't done it in years..i've been thinking about doing it again but i'm nervous. we'll see!

Here's a website that I have found invaluable in the last several years. It has dramatically changed what beauty products I purchase. It baffles me that there is no regulation of the ingredients put in beauty products yet I'm sure most women assume there is some regulation because they're putting this stuff on their bodies. You can search by product type or by a specific product. Enjoy!

EWG also just did a study of sunscreens and found that 3 out of 5 of them don't work. Here's a link to what they found and rankings for all of the sunscreens they tested.

Interesting website. I don't mean this as a flame at all, genuinely curious, but what kind of shampoo or hair products can you use that doesn't have any kind of chemicals at all in it? I mean, no fragrance, no color, nothing?
Jen, I don't think it's so much of NONE of those things...yes, that would probably be ideal, but just more on the lower end of the spectrum, or the use of more natural ingredients, than the other. So many of the common beauty products we use have really, really awful things in them. And there's little to no regulation in that yet so many of us are assuming that because it's put on our body, somehow it's been proven "safe".
PS - I'm a big fan of B&B products but so many of the ingredients used in them are not good. This is the sad part about educating myself on this stuff...I come to a point where I cannot knowingly continue to use products that I know have unhealthy, unsafe ingredients.
