maybe if we start doing a poll-a-day we can get this board moving? whaddya say? so here's todays:
because i'm a crazy animal person...let's start with a pet poll:

1. How many pets do you have and what are they? 4: 2 dogs (boxer and maltese mix) a cat and a rabbit
2. What are their names and ages? Coco is the boxer and about 2 1/2, Buddy is the maltese mix and 5, Mika is the cat and about 2 1/2, and Trixie is the rabbit and she's 4
3. Where did they come from? rescue, breeder, found on the street? Coco came from a no-kill rescue shelter in Michigan, we inherited Buddy from a family member when they passed away (he sadly came from a pet store/puppy mill originally...), Mika found us when we were out walking one day..she was about 3 months old and came up to us all skilly and dirty and we never found her owner, and then trixie came from a local pet supply store in MI that rescues animals
4. What is the cutest thing that they do? ahh they all do so many cute things..mika loves to just come and plop in front of you as if to say "i'm here, pet me, love me!!!", and then i LOVE when the dogs sigh...it's like they are so satisfied and content...and trixie is cute when she just hops up in the air randomly
5. If you could have ANY animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why? this is a really really hard one...dh and i want to get chickens really bad so we can have our own eggs....but if i could have ANY animal hmm i think it would be a tiger..i just love them. as long as it wouldn't eat me, i'd have one in a heartbeat =]Visit my blog about my family's experiments in eco-living

Currently 1. Female Boxer.

Her name is Asti. she's 4 1/2
3. Where did they come from? rescue, breeder, found on the street?
She came from a breeder in Stockton, Ca
4. What is the cutest thing that they do?
Hmmm, cute? She's just nuts. She lays on her back with her feet in the air all twisted with her jowls hanging into her face, it's hilarious she gets in that porition and holds it like a statue.
5. If you could have ANY animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why?
... not sure... another puppy probably

Two cats: one Humane society reject and one who was found in the dumpster last year. Also, our beloved dog, a GSD.
2. What are their names and ages?
Humane Society Reject is 8; I've had him since 6mos. Dumpster kitty is about a year.
3. Where did they come from? rescue, breeder, found on the street?
All rescues
4. What is the cutest thing that they do?
Doggy will come up when I'm on the computer and try to (gently) pull me away to play with him. If that fails, he will try to sit in my lap-all 90 pounds of him. Dumpster kitty thinks he's a parrot; and hes in love with my DH. He will jump onto/perch/ hang out on DH's shoulder and just chill there, even when DH is walking around. HSR: is always down to watch a movie with me and snuggle. Even if its a chick flick.
5. If you could have ANY animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why?
I've always wanted a peregrine falcon. I think they're awesomely nefarious. lol!

2. What are their names and ages? Ed the cat is 6, Ein the dog is 2.5. both are female
3. Where did they come from? rescue, breeder, found on the street? Ed came from a friend's family's farm. The momma abandoned her and her two brothers, so she cared for them till they could be rehomed. My friends took the brothers. Ein came from a breeder. We had been searching for a specific type of small dog puppy for a long time with no luck at the humane society or rescue groups. I love corgi's but wanted a smaller dog. She really is the best dog in the world :-)
4. What is the cutest thing that they do? Together... the cat likes to open food bins and get into stuff in the kitchen. Ein knows she's not allowed to do that, so she tattles on Ed to us.
5. If you could have ANY animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why? I would love a large cat (Tiger, lion, etc). I looked into it a little bit as a child, but found it would be very impractical and will have to settle for domesticated cats.2. He's about 5, we think.
3. Human Society; he was found on the street.
4. He plays like a kitten and thinks he's a lap dog.
5. A border collie. Although, honestly, I wouldn't have a pet at all if it were up to me. My husband's the dog person
Also - we're going to have 3 chickens at the end of the month!

We have 2 pets. One DSH calico and one mini dacshund.

Cat- Peaches 6-7 years old
Dog- Ruby Tuesday 4 years old
3. Where did they come from? rescue, breeder, found on the street?
Peaches came from DH's ex who worked in a vet clinic. She was a bottle fed kitty that needed a home and they took her in.
Ruby Tuesday was 4 months old when we got her, and by that time she had aleady had three homes. So I adopted her from a lady that used to work where I did. We changed her name from Truffles when we got her.
4. What is the cutest thing that they do?
Peaches likes to play with the little chunks of rubber that Ruby picks off her Kongs. Peaches likes to lay inthe sun and roll over on her back and flip to the other side and do that back and forth several times. She looks like an upsidedown snake.
Ruby is relentless regarding her ball. that silly dog LOOOOOOOVES to fetch. She has such a big heart and tons of energy. I just love her.
5. If you could have ANY animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why?
Another Doxie! I love my Ruby and I want another one!
