Re: :(

  • It seems we usually hit 100 at least once each summer.
  • There is usually a "week from hell" in the Portland area.  The rest of the year is great (I love rain)
  • Seriously????!!! ugh!  We have been suffering in our apartment with the temps in the 90's for about 3 weeks now... and it's going to get worse?  I'm going to have to go find an air conditioned store to live in, my son is already throwing little fits at the peak of everyday because he's so miserably hot and all he's wearing is a diaper and I have 2 fans going in the living room.  Grrr!  Don't need air conditioning here my a$$!  SORRY, vent over!

  • We have vertical sliding windows; so our only option is a portable ac, which i am NOT paying for. So that means we'll pretty much be miserable the next week. Yay.

  • Sorry you guys are suffering. We used to live in a house with no a/c and would have the fans going as well. We'd put some bowls of water underneath them so the water would evaporate and cool off the air some. And keep all the windows covered during the day.

The "poor man's a/c"  :-) Put ice in the water to make it even colder.  It's really not that bad in the long run.

  • You're welcome to come over to my house and chill out in the A/C with me and Tre so long as you don't mind driving out to BFE, we love company!
