Looking for a weekend getaway
Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted. DH has officially moved to KC, I'm joining him Aug 10. It will be nice to be in the same time zone again! Anyways. I'm already thinking about our 1st anniversary and need some help. We're looking for a bed and breakfast or romantic cabin kinda place, preferably a little bit outside the city. Any ideas??

Re: Looking for a weekend getaway
emsrdh - So I was being nosey and looked at your blog (love it!) and saw on your Miss link that you and DH met on match.com. I just wanted to share that that is how my DH and I met as well. Gotta love technology. I was living in Olathe and he lived in a small town north of KC called Cameron, and there is now way we would have met without the lovely internet. I love hearing sucess stories. Welcome to KC!!
That's fun! I was more open about it at first, DH was a little shy. Almost anyone we tell knows someone else who's met through match. I certainly don't think it's as taboo as it used to be. Without it we wouldn't have met either!
I second Weston-you can absolutely make a weekend out of it. They have great little stores to wander around down town and a few wineries, the different farms, a great Irish pub, etc. And if you're going during the winter, you could ski at Snow Creek and easily stay in Weston.
We stayed at the Inn at Weston Landing and loved it, but I know there are about 5 different B&B's there!
