Was it one of you (or both) that mentioned at the GTG that you give your dog a raw egg in their food each week to help lessen shedding?  Just wanted to make sure that it is a raw egg mixed in the food and just once a week.  Thanks!

  • Butting in::  Christina and I  said that...and yes it is a raw egg. 1 time a week mixed into their dry food.
  • Thanks!  I thought it might have been Cynthia and Jen since I was sitting at the table for a while with them.  I mentioned it to DH and he keeps asking me when I'm going to start doing it, lol.

  • You're welcome! It really does work. In fact I just gave mine one last night. I try to keep it on the same day every week, that way I know they have had it.

By the way how are you feeling?

  • Still feeling good, except for being uncomfortable sleeping (some nights).  I have noticed that around 2pm or so everyday I get really tired though - with 6 weeks left that's to be expected though :-)  I think I'm going to take up my boss on her offer to work from home twice a week instead of just once a week Big Smile

  • It's funny that you mention the raw egg thing (sorry for butting in) but told my husband about it too and he found it kind of weird. We started giving our little poosh a raw egg this week, guess we'll see how it goes.
  • Johanna: if you guys don't like the fact of a raw egg you can scramble it some. Like a loose/ wet scramble. Our dogs aren't big fans of it scrambled so we just throw it in raw. Our vet notices the shininess of their coats and asks us every time what we are giving them and we tell them raw egg once a week mixed with dry food. They don't really like that, but our dogs are super healthy, and their coats are great. So they don't say much more. I think its just the fact that its something raw but they since they don't have any health problems its not a big deal. The first time I would just watch your dog and make sure they don't have an allergy to it. But it is in most dry foods anyways just not raw. Your dogs coat will get a lot softer too. You'll notice. Let me know how it works out for ya. =)

Doris: I'm glad to hear that your doing good. 2 days a week working from home would be great. Keep us updated and happy nesting. Cant wait to see pictures of the nusery.

  • Butting in.  I started doing this right after you guys mentioned it at the gtg.  Rocco loves it. I will let you know if I see a diffrence. This will be his third week and i do it every sunday so that I know he has it.  Thanks again.
