Daily Question - Firefly Sweet Tea vodka - 7/23
I got a big bottle of this stuff. I've tried it with water, and I've tried it with lemonade. I wasn't crazy about either.
Any other suggestions for how to mix this stuff?
Alternatively, if you have no idea what we're talking about, or if you just want to talk some more, tell us about the best drink you've ever "created." It can be non-alcoholic or alcoholic.
Re: Daily Question - Firefly Sweet Tea vodka - 7/23
The best drink I've ever created...
I like to have sweet drinks on the rocks like Amaretto or Baileys. Well, I didn't quite have enough of either.
I ended up mixing Disarrno Amaretto, Bailey's Irish Cream, Frangelico (Hazelnut), and Kahlua and doing my usual drink with all 4.
Knocked my socks off.
As for the sweet tea vodka...humm...everyone has suggested mixing it with lemonade. Have you tried using less?
March 2011 moved to WA from Charleston, SC
live in Mill Creek, work in Seattle, DH works in Mt Vernon
Less of which? Less firefly or less lemonade?
I always go with the lemonade. I just use extra lemon so that I can't taste the vodka.
Otherwise I'm very boring. Vodka, diet tonic and lemon juice.....
I never really have come up with any drinks. DH makes most of the drinks I do have. Some I've had and really enjoy are
Orange Soda and vanilla vodka
Butterscotch schnapps, Bailey's, vanilla vodka, and milk (basically a buttery nipple as a full drink)
Orange Juice and Cherry Seven up -- it's just a fun drink
I just got a big bottle a couple weeks ago and tried it for the first time. I mixed it with lemonade, and really liked it. I haven't tried it with anything else, but I'll do some experimenting and see if I can give you some ideas
I haven't created too many drinks on my own, but I love, love, love a good margarita. I've never made one on my own at home, but I'm planning on it this weekend! I'm also going to make a pineapple daiquiri.

So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
I think maybe what I don't like about it is that it kind of tastes like NutraSweet to me. I'm allergic to artificial sweeteners (they give me headaches,) so I'm pretty averse to anything that tastes artificially sweetened.
I'm wondering even maybe if I just added fresh lemon juice and water if that would help even out all the sweetness.
I don't like tasting the alcohol, so I always mix it with regular sweet tea and lemonade. Lemon juice could be really good too (instead of lemonade).
It tastes the best when ice cold.
I have recently become obsessed with bloody mary's..we are recreating the spicy homemade ones from our honeymoon in the Dominican. Sooo good!
Hey Vanessa, I always mix it with Lemonade-2/3 lemonade 1/3 Firefly.
If you need other ideas for this-check out the website www.fireflyvodka.com there are a TON of ideas for that and the other flavors on the site.
Enjoy!!
Oh that reminds me of another favorite. Coke and Cherry Vodka. Its like cherry coke with a kick!
WOAH... you drank while working at church cam pin HS??? Wow you're wild!
That's much more common than you think! At our church retreat this year, I know the high schoolers got away with alcohol. The adults drink freely there- we have a set up called the "Three in One Pub." When the sign is up, you are free to drink! I love Whiskeypalians
