One in six Oregonians go Hungry
Hi Ladies,
I was listening to NPR this morning, and new stats show that hunger is rising in Oregon along with unemployment (makes sense). This is one of my personal 'pet causes' along with, well, pets who are also neglected and abused.
For those of you who are employed, if you're interested in this cause your company may have a matching program. Talk to HR, and you can make a small donation go a long way. Also, Feeding America is a great organization. You can take $5 and turn it into a nutritious meal for a whole family.

Hunger Unemployment, underemployment, dropout rate, all at the top of the scales. It's all about what you think are priorities.
