Even though our plant is shutting down for two weeks, I somehow have to work even though I won't be getting paid and can't go into the office because there won't be power for a period of time. Oh and my daycare is on vacation (home) so I have to manage to do all of this with DS around....fun stuff.

what the heck? what will you be working on? that doesn't make any sense... will you be answer customer phone calls or something?? Will you get flex time for it at least? Hopefully you won't have to do much. There is actually an on-call policy, if you're on call, for each 24 hr period you should get 1 hour of your regular pay (which isn't much, but something). Your boss has to enter that into your timecard though. I got on-call pay at Christmas when I was doing QN's (and didn't actually have to do any, phewf). Hopefully your time off is still OK though!! At least your daycare is on vacation the same weeks you are "on vacation"!
I miss working... I don't miss the crazy and manipulative co workers but I am bored at home!
I am not looking forward to returning to work as I will be working with a new group of staff (i know them but have not working side by side with them) So I am a little aprehensive!
After next weekend it is August! Yea... to "having fun"!

Our home computer had a virus so we re-built it and the internt isn?t connected, a few more steps to finish it. So I have to wait until Saturday [tomorrow] to have access! It?s been 1 week and I?m going CRAZY!!!!!!

No such luck. Customer Support = Overhead = No timecards = No real flex-time policy.
I'm handling customers and working on a time sensitive project that can't go on hold for 2 weeks due to supplier issues. Fun stuff!
Jeez - now you made me go look at their website because one just opened near us and of course I want it. I've only been once - forever ago. Seems like it's about time to check out the new location.
Two Licks locations near me have closed in the past year or so, but thankfully there's still one fairly close by. I loove Licks homeburgers.
My confession: I'm still a lousy housekeeper even though I'm home all day. The baby is sleeping quite well lately, so I don't even have exhaustion as an excuse anymore. I guess I'm just lazy, and I'm afraid my husband is going to start resenting me soon.

It's a burger joint. It is pretty good - but my opinion it is not as good as making burgers on the BBQ at home!!!! A little bit $$ though. But their vegetarian burger is excellent, I would say the best I've had. The one near me went out of business last year. They also have ice cream.
