Hey there!
We were debating on going to the mountains for our anniversary this year, but my mom mentioned Lake Jocassee - anyone been, thoughts, etc...? Thanks!

I love Lake Jo! It's very beautiful, water is clear and cool. For swimming, this is the best time of year to go.
You can boat, swim, camp, and hike.
You can anchor your boat on shore and go hiking through the woods to see gorgeous waterfalls. There's plenty of hiking to do in the area, but I love to take a jet ski and explore all the places boats can't go. There's usually a fair amount of people sailing and kayaking.
I probably should clarify...it sounds fun, but a question - where would you recommend we stay (anniversary/romantic place) - can we bring our own jet ski?
