Uggh this heat!

It was so hot in our room last night that DH and I couldn't fall asleep until shortly before his alarm went off at 5.  It's going to be a long hot day *sigh*.

  • Do you have a big box window fan? The old school kind? You can get them at Target for about 15 bucks, and if you have it on full blast in the windows at night, it cools the room down pretty well. Its the only way we can get to sleep. I recommend it.

  • Yeah, we have several fans, we have a tower fan and a ceiling fan in the bedroom, a box fan and ceiling fan in the living room, and a mini tower in the baby's window, but for whatever reason it would not cool off in our bedroom last night.  The living room was decent this morning after the fan sucking in air most of the night, our room was still at least 10 degrees warmer though.  *sigh*.  I usually like summer, but now I'm longing for fall... too hot!

  • Bummer :(  Sounds like you need a day at the mall, movie theater or library.

We got a hand-me-down in window air conditioner this spring that's taking the edge off. We almost passed it up! Ugh, but with closing up the house during the day and opening up at night, we need it to keep the house under 80! Glad I'm on leave now - I would have taken a vacation day today b/c my office is probably 200 degrees right now...
