I was in the grocery last night doing the UScan.  I stepped away for 10 seconds to hand the lady my coupons and when I turned around my IPhone was gone.

I posted this on MM and people mention that with the economy right now there are not only a lot more purse snatching, but people are reaching in a stealing things and then you don't notice until later. 

I noticed right away because my IPhone was sitting on my purse (I just hung it up).

Trying to save you, so you don't have to dish out $300 unexpected out of your savings to buy another one like I have to today!

Sorry to hear that, and thanks for the warning.  I'm bad about walking away from my cart and purse in the grocery store.  I'm way too trusting!

Ugh, that sucks.  I'm super-cautious about my purse all the time.  I just don't trust anyone.

That really does suck for you.  It's horrible how desperate things have gotten for people.

Thanks for the warning and sorry you have to spend all that $$.  I use to think my mom was nuts because of how protective she is about her purse, but as I get older I'm realizing she's not nuts just cautious!

OH, that hurts!  I refuse to take my purse off my shoulder the entire time in a store.  It never goes into the grocery cart seat.  I've even read about people snatching your purse from the cart as you turn around to put groceries in your trunk so it stays on my shoulder from the time I leave the car until I get back in.  It is a pain!

I was thinking about that the other day as I was putting my daughter in her car seat. Usually I will keep my bag on my shoulder, put it on her side of the floorboard etc but this time I put it on the trunk of my car. Someone could of easily taken it because I was too busy trying to strap her in. I will be more aware the next time I take her out shopping.

When I walked into AT&T and told them why I was there the guy wasn't shocked at all.  He said they have dealt with lots of phones thefts lately-not just Iphone, but that's the big one.

Bill and I go shopping all the time together.  If I say that I'm going to go get something, he will abandon our cart and my purse to follow me.  I shoo him back to watch my purse.
