Re: Daily Question: 7/27

  • I'm trying to read, but never find time. Currently, I can fit in Fables (it's a comic book).
  • I can't remember the title!  I just started it... It was on clearance at BN and I picked it up for summer reading... 10 pages in a month isn't looking good.  I really need to start turning off the tv and computer.
  • i have an entire stack of books that i need to get reading- its been so busy with the move and packing that i haven't had time.. butttt. since we will be all moved into our place on JI by next week, i can't wait to start reading Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel she was my fave housewife!!
  • I have a million books I want to read, but after FINALLY seeing "Twilight" Friday night, I am now so anxious to read the series.

Are they worth the read? Especially since I have seen the first movie already.

  • I'm reading Breaking Dawn, the last Twilight book.  I liked the first one, but I just can't get into the other books.  I'm trying to get through them, though, because I want to finish.

YES they are worth the read. I read the whole series in 3 weeks.

  • Okay this is so funny.

On another board I frequent this same question was asked, and again about 1/3 of the members were reading books from the Twilight series.

     Hahaha!

I've been having to do reading for school, so right now I'm reading "Principles and Practice of Sex Therapy"

I'm also reading Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire (its the sequel to Wicked).  Great book so far, I'm a huge fan of his writing.

  • I'm actually looking for a "new" book to read. I'm re-reading "American Son" the biography on JFK Jr.

Side note-ama-I LOVED "Wicked" have you read the "ugly stepsister"? on a 2nd note-I don't know if you, or any of the other ladies are fans of musicals-classic or modern, but Wicked is coming to the Peace Center in February-I cannot wait to see it again!!!!
  • I just finished up A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. I enjoyed reading it. It had some heart wretching moments.

Yes I would say they are absolutely worth reading.  It's so cliche, but the book is SOOO much better than the movie.

I'm on book 3.  I know most people haven't been as impressed with books 2-4 but I'm 400 pages into book 3 and I've enjoyed them all thus far.

Yes!  I actually think I liked Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister more!  He has so many books and I hate that I'm in school and don't have the time to pleasure read like I want to.

Ever since I heard about 2 years ago that Wicked was planned to come to the Peace Center, I've been talking about it to my husband, dropping not so subtle hints.  Hopefully I get tickets for my birthday, christmas, or even Valentine's Day.

DH & I are listening to Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince on CD in the car.  I'm starting "The Rescue" by Nicolas Sparks in a week and a half while on vacation.  I'm in the middle of "Rome Sweet Home" by Scott & Kimberly Hahn, a great book about their conversion to the Catholic Church.
