s/o - Do you ever bring work home?
I do all.the.time. Its the double edged sword from being able to work from home 1 day/week. I'm constantly reading cases as we watch tv in the evenings and check my email from home at least once a day. The only firm line I draw in the sand is that I do not answer work calls during personal time.....although i have been known to check my voicemail a time or two
Re: s/o - Do you ever bring work home?
I do wayyyyy too frequently. But I am especially guilty of bringing work home with me and then letting it languish in my briefcase, untouched, all evening or all weekend. That is the worst because I both don't get the work done and don't get to relax because I know there is work I should be doing.
Now that I have my work-issued blackberry, I am on email pretty much all the time. There is a strong expectation that we'll be available via email, even on the weekends, and I've gone along with it. I actually much prefer the blackberry to having to log on on a regular computer.

Bring it home - yes
Actually do it - hardly ever
If I really need to get something done, I go into the office on the weekend or stay late. But that's pretty rare. I am a very lucky lawyer.
