Hershey Gardens....is it worth it?

DH and I are looking for some free or inexpensive things to do this weekend.  I suggested Hershey Gardens.  We've never been there and we've lived here since 2002!  Is it worth the $10 admission fee?

Re: Hershey Gardens....is it worth it?

  • I was there once about two years ago. Back then I think the price was $8 or $9 and I thought it was totally NOT worth it.

  • I've been once and it is okay, really not worth the price of admission, but the Butterfly House inside the Gardens made it worth it for us, we still want to take Gunnar, we think he would at least enjoy that, but it is too humid for us right now, maybe another year.

  • I haven't been there but my MIL swears that for small kids the Butterfly House definitely makes it worth the price of admission.  She used to take our nephew a bunch because he just loved it.
  • Mom and I both love Longwood, so this was a huge disappointment for us one Mother's Day.
