Hampton Roads GTG?

I know there are a few of us here - would you want to plan a get-together?  I'm relatively new to the area so I don't know if I'm the best one to suggest a meeting place - maybe somewhere on the peninsula?  That way those on the southside and in Williamsburg can attend without driving an hour.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea. I am not sure where or what we could do. I guess it all depends if it is during the week or weekend.

Possibly... although I'd prefer it be in VB or Chesapeake, or even Norfolk since I have not explored there much .

There are several Peninsula nesties (including myself) over on D&R that may be interested, too. I'll post to them. I would love to do it, but my schedule is getting very busy right now. I may not be able to work something in.

I'm in! I live on the Southside but grew up on the Peninsula.  I'd recommend Newport News City Center in Oyster Point or the "new" shopping center across from the Newport News airport on Jefferson.  Both of those places seem to have lots of restaurant options to choose from. 

 Also, I'd be willing to head up a carpool for any Southside people

If it is in Newport News, I am all about joining the carpool from southside.  I am not familiar with anywhere else hehe.

I'm late, but I would be up for one.  Anywhere is fine with me.  I'm in Yorktown, but would be willing to head to the Southside, I never seem to go over there it seems.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many of us!  Really glad I posted.   Any ideas on a specific location or date?  I was thinking we should do it before school starts up again since I think we have a large teacher contingency.  Maybe a happy hour somewhere in Ghent or Oyster Point?

I'm new to the Va Beach, so I don't have any location suggestions but wanted to add that I'm game.

My best bets are going to Friday nights since that is when my DD spends the night with Nana and Papa.  Otherwise, I have to hire a babysitter and DH is being deployed very soon so he's not going to be able to help.  That's just me though?

I am still in and just waiting to hear where. I don't know the area so any place that you all know of will be great for me. I am excited to "see" what is around here.

Are we still planning on meeting in Oyster Point? I have a recommendation if so.  I also highly recommend us ladies doing the exact when and wheres through PM? never know about "creepy" lurkers.
