What's there to do there? DH is coming home soon, and I want to plan a small little weekend getaway. We will have our almost 2 year old son, so something kid friendly.
Any places to stay that are nice?.
Anything you want to give would be wonderful!!
Thanks ladies!!
Re: Julian?
We usually stay here when we go up there:

It is a cool little bed and breakfast, we have also stayed at The Julian Hotel which is a cute little place and it might be more kid friendly. There are a few cool things to do up there. We always visit the little wineries that are up there, there is also a tour of an old mine you can take that is really interesting. There is also the Julian Pioneer museum and tons of really cute little shops, not to mention the best apple pie I have ever had. Also if you go during apple season which is usually Sept-October alot of the orchards will let you pick your own apples.
The place I have stayed is more of a romantic getaway place: http://www.artistsloft.com/
We went on a great hike in Julian.
I would check out: http://www.julianca.com/attractions/index2.htm
When we stayed over night the last time we did star gazing. It was amazing but that might happen to late for a 2 year old.
Have fun!
The only place we've stayed seemed more "adults friendly" rather than "family friendly" as well -- but it was amazing! Eaglenest Bed & Breakfast. They've updated their website and I'm noticing they have a cabin now (seperate from the main house/B&B) which may be better for what you're looking for!
As for things to do, I haven't actually been personally, but I hear the wolf wildlife reserve is really neat. And of course, no trip to Julian is complete without a visit to Mom's Pie House!
