Scary Morning! (This is long...sorry)

I am driving to work this morning, and I see a truck that looks like one of my dad?s friend?s truck.  So as I pull up next to the truck to see if it?s his friend I clearly see that it is not! As I glance over to look at the guy, he decided to throw me a kiss and starts saying something that I can?t understand.  I am on Okeechobee road mind you, so traffic is going at a fast pace at that time of the morning.  I decided to turn down the usual street I take to get to my job, but as I am turning I notice that the guy keeps driving and decided to turn up ahead at the next block.  As I turn left I notice that he decided to do a u-turn instead of turning into that block (so he starts going in the opposite direction in which we were both driving originally).  So I turn as I mentioned before  and when I get to the stop sign at the end of the block in I look in my rearview mirror and the guy is turning into the same block in which I am in.  I make a left at the end of the block, and then a right, and then another left, and then another left and the guy is behind me the whole time. At this point I am really freaking out because clearly the guy is following me, I did all these turns and loops just to make sure the guy does not follow me to work and stick around to follow me home at night.  We end up at a stop light in which I am in a turning lane and he pulls up next to me, I frantically take my phone out of my purse to call my co-worker to tell her that I am going to drive to the police station.  This whole time I am at a red light with psycho next to me, and he has about 3 car behind him.  The light turns green and he refuses to move and I refuse to look over at him, after the cars behind him beep at him long enough he finally decided to move and I decided to turn left and at this point I felt it was safe enough to then turn left into my work parking garage because the (psycho) could not see me anymore!!! I let the Direcor of the garage know what happened to me and to keep a look out for the guy and his truck.  Thankfully I work for a local municipality so I know I am safe,  but I am still so shaken up by what happen to me this morning that I can not even concentrate on my work.

All I can say is be careful out there ladies, always be aware of your surroundings!!!  If something like this happens to you drive to a police station or some where really public.

Thanks for letting me share!

Re: Scary Morning! (This is long...sorry)

  • Thats really scary...I'm glad you finally got to get away from him. I think I need to figure out where the police stations are around here in case something like that happens. Make sure to have someone walk out with you when you leave work today.
  • What a way to start your morning!  That really is scary!  Hope your day turns out better!!  Be aware of your surroundings when you leave work tonight.
When life hands you a bunch of lemons, make lemonade-call me over and I'll bring the tequila and salt!
  • Oh goodness!  Luckily you were paying attention and were able to notice the "stalking" movements.  Glad you are okay!

  • oh honey, I'm so glad you're ok! Thank God you were paying attention and that he left you alone.

This has happened to me a few times before, and every time I just ignore the person following me and try to circle until they leave me alone and get the point - NO, I DON'T WANT YOUR NUMBER!! GET LOST!

     It's so scary :(

  • Oh wow that is really scary. Glad you are safe and sound now. There are some pretty crazy people out there.

Ladies be cautious of your surroundings. This morning a man was pulled over by what he "thought" was an undercover cop. Two men dressed in police sweatshirts robbed him, shot him in the back and took off. The poor man had to drive himself tot he nearest hospital.

Dont pull over if it is not a marked police car....call 911 to verfiy.

    Ok..im done lol.
