Re: TGIF!
TGIF is right!! We had 10 family members in town last weekend for a mini family reunion that we hosted. It was so so much fun, but we are totally looking forward to some r&r this weekend that doesn't involve cooking for 10!
Tonight: We're planning to hang at home all night and do nothing except for grilling dinner and watching a movie. Bliss.
Saturday: DW has been counting down the days until she can wake up sans the alarm clock. Since I'll surely wake up hours earlier, I plan on trying a new recipe for a quiche that uses hash browns to make the crust. We'll lounge around, maybe hit a few yard sales and then some friends are coming over at night to sit outside and help us finish off the last of the wine from last weekend.
Sunday: Wallpaper removal
S and I are getting hair cuts today. I am so excited about this! I look like I have a mop on my head. I so need a cut and am looking forward to a little me time.
We are getting our hair cut since we have our shower on Sunday and I want to at least look half way decent. I am really looking forward to the shower and celebrating Ella with family and friends. It is going to be hard since I should be a big pregnant lady at my shower and not at all what I envisioned when thinking about my baby shower. But it is what it is and I plan on making the most of it and enjoying our day. I will also be missing Ella but we will go and see her in the evening.
Tonight is currently up for debate. Andrea agreed to go to a little reunion get together with some girls she went to high school with. Unfortunately she found out that a couple of the people she was really looking forward to seeing wont be there and now she's not that psyched about going. And she's trying to drag me along with her. I wont know any of these girls, no one else is bringing thier spouse, and spending the evening standing on broken glass sounds better to me than going. so thats tbd.
Tomorrow we have normal housework/chores during the day and in the evening we are babysitting for Andrea's coworker's 3 kids.
Sunday we're getting together w/ my bff and (weather permitting) will be heading to a water park.

Tonight we're going to C's softball game and out to eat with the team afterward (unless it gets rained out...which seems likely according to the forecast).
Then this weekend we are headed to NYC for C's good friend's bachelorette weekend. We're going to the Sex Museum and our for sushi and cocktails, should be fun. Plus, I'll get to see on of my best friends for lunch on Sunday - I haven't seen him in ages and I'm so excited!

Tonight - cleaning and prepping the guest room for K's sister
Saturday - K's sister arrives. We may do a cheesy tour of the town or just hang out at home.
Sunday - AC/DC concert
Monday - taking the day off to recoup after AC/DC. We think we're going to drive to the university K will be teaching at in the fall.
Sex Museum?
Tonight - It is our nanny's last day, so I think she'll hang around tonight till the kids go to bed. It'll be sad. L made her a cake so I am sure we'll drown our sorrows in carrot cake. YUM.
Saturday - Playground/errands in the AM. In the afternoon we are going to a pool party with the Partners group we used to belong to. I am looking forward to seeing some friends we haven't seen in ages. Hopefully the boys will be well behaved.
Sunday - I don't know. I am sure there is cleaning/grocery shopping/playground time involved. Maybe the boys godfather and his wife will come over to hang out/grill.

We don't have big plans. Finish up the kitchen finally, and my best friend is probably coming to visit one day.
i'm going to the gym after work today, then heading home for a quick shower before we go to the grocery. we're all our of fruit at our house except for some grapes, which is a travesty, i tell you! i also need to get some things for cakes this weekend.
tomorrow afternoon/evening we're heading to a birthday party for a good friend of ours, so that'll be most of the day. i'll probably be decorating the cake for her in the morning.
sunday we're going to meet our friend's new baby! and i'm taking a small 6-inch cake for mommy.
Ditto the TGIF this morning my car broke down (ofcourse I was already running late) and had to steal T's car until lunch time when she will just have to drive me back to work. Then i caught the heel of my shoe in the crack in the sidewalk and almost ripped my foot off and then had scathing email from my Grandma about voicemail she left that i never recieved so never called her back about, and its month end at work UGH! I couldn't be more ready for it to be the weekend.
Tonight we will do the switch with the kids and will have a quiet evening at home, probably work on my car a bit too if T doesnt already have it fixed before I get home.
Saturday we are going to sleep in! I haven't been home in two weekends and i'm pooped and looking forward to sleeping late and cuddling in the morning. We will probably go for coffee, maybe meet up with some friends do a little shopping and then Saturday night I am taking T out for a romantic dinner, all dressed up. We need a little romance.
Sunday will be house work and relaxing around the house
I'm so looking forward to a weekend without any set commitments!
C and I have a plan for tomorrow. We get up early, (of course take our showers...smile), pack a snack, go to breakfast at IHOP, and then come into work. She will work on organizing her office and files and I will work on my dissertation. We will have our snack about 4 hours into the game and then back to work for 4 more hours. My hope is to get home before dark so I can mow the lawn. Sunday is Church and then hopefully brunch with our 'Boyz.' After that, home for a small nap (for me...C will be out like a light...smile) then back to the diss.
Doesn't sound quite as fun as everyone else's...*sigh.*
