Nashville Ladies Restaurant Recs

My ILs are in town until tomorrow and would like to take us out to a nice dinner tonight.  They do not want to go anywhere they have at home so most chains are out.  So far the only restaurants we have come up with are the Bound'ry and Cafe Margot, but I am not sold on either.  Any recommendations?  They are harsh food critics and enjoy a good meal.

Re: Nashville Ladies Restaurant Recs

  • Germantown cafe? Sylvan Park Cafe? Midtown Cafe? Flyte?

I've had amazing meals at all of those as well as at Cafe Margot. I'd try any of these over Boundry.

  • Oooh I forgot about Germantown Cafe.  We went there for Easter Brunch one year and it was excellent.

  • Watermark if you can get a reserveration, same for Zola.
  • Mmmm, I love Zola. Watermark is a good choice (especially if the weather is nice), as is Margot Cafe - we love Margot. Eastland Cafe is also great - also in East Nashville.

We have been to City House in Germantown a few times and it's fantastic.

I also like Park Cafe in Sylvan Park. They also have outdoor patio seating, which is nice in the warmer weather.

  • Eh, may be too late for this, but for posterity:

Radius 10 or Mirror (my personal faves)

Close runner-ups: City House, Germantown Cafe, Zola, Watermark, Tayst, Bricktops, Bound'ry, Park Cafe.

I'll be the voice of dissent about Cafe Margot.  I went about a month ago and was sorely disappointed.  It wasn't awful but it seemed lackluster and not as flavorful as it could have been.  Nothing seemed very inspired at all, as we had experienced previously about a year ago.  Maybe it was a bad run of ingredients, maybe they're getting creatively spent with having to think up things Marche at the same time.  I dunno.
