PIP::: Super easy baby shower gift...

image

I attempted to make a diaper cake (= FAIL) and found this online. I can't tell you how easy this was to make -- and I think it came out really cute!!! The wreath is from the Dollar Tree. It is covered with 16 diapers (I could have squished more on but I would have run out of curling ribbon) that are secured at the top with a small elastic hair tie (I got like 200 @ the Dollar Tree for $1). I tied and curled ribbon at the top of each diaper. I tied on 3 teethers and 2 small toys. The bear is tied on bottom with ribbon and the card hanging in the middle is a GC to BuyBuyBaby.

I think I'm going to stock up on wreaths from the Dollar Tree -- they are the perfect size! I think I will also use this for a bridal shower I have coming up -- except I will use wash cloths instead of diapers.

Just thought I'd share!

  • That's really cute!  Great job!!!

BTW, your daughter is beautiful in those pics!

  • So cute! I love the idea of using wash cloths instead of diapers because there's something about diapers being out of the pack and touched by people/things that skeeves me out.

Why? Do people take the wreath/cake apart and use the diapers? I always thought that type of thing was just for show. But most of my friends are single and don't have babies yet so I don't go to a lot of showers. Someone made me a wedding cake out of towels but I never took it apart, there were tons of pins and glittery things all over it so I stuck it in the closet not sure what to do with it.

Not to ignore the original post, I think the wreath is cute.

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
