I know that just a little way down there is a post about OB recs, but I was looking for some more specific answers so if anyone can help me that would be great!
We live in the Overland Park area (close to the mall) so I am looking for an OB around here. ?I have seen Dr. Maturo at the Womens Clinic of Johnson County once (for an annual check-up), and she seems nice, but I was wondering if anyone has gone through a pregnancy with her, and how you felt about her as a doctor.
I want a doctor that is energetic and fun (my DH says I'm looking for a sorority girl doctor ). ?Any recommendations you can give me would be great. ?I need to call and make an appointment soon!!?
Re: s/o OB Recs...
I don't have experience with the Dr. you mentioned, but my Dr's office is near you, right outside of OPRMC. It's the Women's Healthcare Group. I see one of the midwives, Julie, and she was excellent with me with my first baby (even delivered her), and has been great again so far with this one. She's not peppy, but is very friendly, caring, easy to talk to, etc. There are a handful of both dr's and midwives there and I have friends that see others in the practice and have always heard good things about them all. They have a website now: www.whcg.org Good luck!
I think I said this in the previous post, but I see Dr. Courtney Younglove with the Women's Healthcare Group. They are the group within Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She is totally understanding and has a great fun attitude. She has specifice days that she's in OP and others that she's in Lawrence. You can check their website for more information.
