Hi all! It has been a while since I posted. I have been off work and home and not spending as much time on the computer. I think I also mentioned in the past that we moved closer to my Mom and are now having to spend more time with her. Well it finally happened....I told her.
We were all 3 coming back from plant shopping and Sandy got out first to move our truck so Mom could pull thru and she said...I like Sandy...she's a good friend. So I said, well, she IS a good friend but someday we need to talk about her more. She says...why? I said, well, I know you're not stupid but she's more than a friend and I think you know that but we just haven't talked about it...it's been like the elephant in the corner of the room. She says...well I'm not stupid and I don't care and if you're happy then that's all that matters.
Anyway, she said it more than once that she doesn't care and it's not a big deal to her. So that's that. We are "out" now with my Mom. And it's cool.
Strange how life turns out huh? What a relief to have it over with though...
WHEW!!

Sandy is the first woman I've ever loved.I was with men before and had some Bi experiences and knew I loved women but had never had a relationship with one. Then I met her and the world changed. I fell so hard and so did she. So my Mom was unaware of my Bi dalliances of course. (no need to tell your mom you're kinda kinky! haha) so I thought this would be hard for her to take. But she has been around us ALOT in the past few weeks and gotten to know Sandy and seen us together. Perhaps waiting until the right opening to bring this up was a good decision as it allowed the concept of "us" sink in for a while before we discussed it.
You must feel like a weight has been lifted. So glad you were able to break the ice with your mom.

That's awesome! I'm glad it went so well!
Glad she is happy for you. That is the best feeling.

It's funny this is the third person I've heard of whose partner (or hopeful partner) was named Sandy. One sister is seeing a Girl named Sandy and my other sister has a friend named Sandy but she wishes it could be more.
Yes, I have two gay sisters.
