Where to find in-home daycare providers?

Anyone know of any published lists of in-home daycare providers? I'm looking for a new place for my daughter this fall. I'm in O'Fallon if that helps...or if anyone is looking for a full time daycare baby :) She's cute!

Re: Where to find in-home daycare providers?

  • the CDCA publishes a list of people, your church may have names or your Parents as Teachers might.  Surprisingly, I found mine on Craigslist.  I know it sounds crazy, but she's been wonderful.  Obviously I did background checks, etc.

You might try to get in touch w/someone that works for a school.  I got a lot of referrals that way... most of them were full, but I did call them all.

I'd start w/the CDCA...i think you can just google them for their website and have them send you the list.  that's a good starting point.  also, would the daycare recommend anyone?

    GL!
