**Closing Friday**

DH called me repeatedly during my 2pm conference call and I finally called him back via cell phone while on my conference call line (muted of course) and he asked me if I felt we were ready to close on Friday! Of course I said yes! We had been waiting on our lien report to come back... after 14 business days waiting it finally came back--clear! We will have to drive down to Boca to close on Friday, but we will be able to drive home with the keys in our hands. If we decide to go the courtesy closer route we have to wait 2 business days until we can get the keys!

I'm so excited, but stressed because we need to make so many final decisions (paint colors, flooring, etc)!

Re: **Closing Friday**

  • awesome!!!! what an exciting time for you guys! Big Smile
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • How exciting!  Have fun!

  • Dang...Boca! I don't blame you, I wouldn't want to wait through the weekend either!  Do you think you will move in right away? Good Luck!!

  • I spoke to soon! Apparently the bank slipped and never got a survey done on the home... which is another $250 for us, and within the past week we've been told we need to bring a grand total of $2k more to closing! I'm getting very fed up but trying to remain calm.... we *might* close tomorrow; however, I highly doubt it.

Deb--to answer your question. No, we do not plan to move in right away. We are painting the entire house *inside only for now*, ripping out the most disgusting carpet I've ever scene in  my life, and laying down hard wood floors, and painting the garage floor... along with minor repairs we need to do like sealing the windows, "decking" the garage portion of the actic and adding insulation. Lots to do, and we both can't wait to have our privacy back since we are currently staying with my parents. Either way its going to take us a good 2 weeks until we can really move in!

  • Yay congrats!!  That is really soon and so exciting!!

Damn I wish I would've read this earlier. I have a surveyor that can get it done in a day tops!!

If you go the courtesty closer route. Tell them to send you the docs (mail away) and I'll do the closing free of charge!

  • Are you all set for closing today? Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

  • It's all good! We ended up closing on Friday after all the un-needed drama! We got the survey paper work in around lunch time on Friday and closed at 3:30!!! Talk about cutting it close!

We've started doing working on the home already, and it already looks like it's a new home!

We moved into a bank owned home off of Boggy Creek Road--just south of the International Airport.

GNJFL--hopefully we can meet this week sometime! We will be at the house every night this week around 6-10!
