tried solids tonight..

totally hilarious. ?She wasn't impressed at all. ?I was reading my babycare guide because we were going through formula like mad, Scarlett's a little young but sitting without a prop and is way above the recommended weight so I thought, meh lets give Rice cereal a try. ?we are both a mess but it was great. DH of course snapped a zillion pics of the process. ?

Re: tried solids tonight..

  • Some doctors say 4 months is all right...and a lot of ppl on 0-6 start at 4 mo as well.  If you are thinking its early, just go slowly...like do a week in between new foods instead of the 3-4 days.

  • 4 months is a bit early for breastfed babes, so just take it slowly, like stewie said. The theory is that their little digestive tracts haven't matured that strongly yet, which is why they advise to wait to 6 months.

However, my BFF's son was tipping the scales and BM and formula wern't enough. So she started rice cereal once a day for about a month at 4 months and then 2 times a day at 5 months and didn't introduce fruits/veggies until 6 months.

Just a suggestion, not like you need the advice... just throwing it out there. Have fun!
