How to make your own baby wipes
Hey ladies, I came across this "recipe" for baby wipes and thought I would share it. I've never done it myself but heard it really works.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of Water
1 Tbsp. of liquid baby soap
1 Tbsp. of baby oil
1 Roll of paper towels
Rubbermaid container
Mix together water, soap, and oil and put in appropriate sized container (approx. 6 in. high and 8 in. in diameter). Cut the roll of paper towels in hald and remove the cardboard center. Place inside the container and shake so that the mixture soaks through each paper towel. Remove the wipes from the center of the roll.
That's it. Let me know if it works :-)
Re: How to make your own baby wipes
I've heard of making your own, but only with cloth, never with paper towels!
I've seen people use old tshirts or pieces of flannel to make them. That's what I plan on doing after the newborn poops wear a way a bit. :-)
I might have to try your mixture though with the fabric. :-)
And even easier...buy a tub of Pampers sensitive wipes from the store.
I don't know about any of the other moms on the board, but I'm lucky to get Rylie fed every night...let alone have time to make baby wipes! LOL
I third that LeeAnn....I don't know how I would find the time to make them on my own! I guess in a perfect world it would work.
I prefer the Target scented ones myself!!!!
LOL well I wouldnt know (not now at least) but I was told it takes less than five minutes.
But I would think grabbing it off the shelf is quicker (unless you count driving time).
Yeah, definitly quicker to just buy them. I wouldn't think it is much of a $$ saver either. I think I spend maybe $5 a month on wipes. It would probably cost more than that to make them myself.
AMEN!!!! LOL!!!
Totally my thoughts exactly!!! ; )
we are trying target ones out again now, I didn't like them when DD was newborn but not so bad now..her skin was sensitve when she was tiny. they are way cheaper too!
