Nightlife spot question
My birthday is coming up in November and I was thinking of doing something in the city at a good spot. The question is... where to go? We are in our mid to late 20s and want a spot with good music but not overly crowded - not wall to wall people. More of a lounge and possibly one with food if we ate there too. I haven't gone out in the city in a long time so I am out of the loop as to what nightlife spots are good! Please help! TIA

I don't go out too much in the city, but i do really like Flute Champagne bar; http://www.flutebar.com/en/. They have 2 locations and i'm thinking of taking my group of friends there for my bday.
Also, http://www.deweysflatiron.com/parties.html, is pretty decent. I went there for a friend's bday a few years ago and he reserved part of the upper floor.
And this place is *really* cool but they don't have food and their drinks are kinda expensive, but very unique; http://flatironlounge.com/. I feel like i'm a speakeasy when i go there.
