How did your dr apt go? Do you have an induction date (or are you having a c-section, I can't remember)? I'm so jealous you have a date- nothing here. My next apt is on the 12th (3 days before my due date). If she hasn't come by then, I'm gonna start begging and crying to the dr to do something 
As ready as I am to meet her though, I guess it would work out best if waited until her due date. That way DH can be with me for the delivery, then my parents will be here for 3 weeks, then once they leave DH can take the 10 paternity days he's allowed, and by then she'll be about a month or so before I have to be totally alone with her. That would be the ideal plan, but I'm also SO ready to meet her (and he finished being pregnant) that I would be ok with her coming right now as well!

The appointment went well and we have a date set! I will go into the hosptial Wednesday night, Aug 12 and will be induced Thursday morning, Aug 13. The sonogram showed that baby is weighing about 8.5 lbs (she was about 7.5 lbs two weeks ago).My MIL is is really happy because Aug 13 is her birthday.
I hope your little girl shows up soon! How are you feeling? Any contractions yet? Is there a chance that they would send your DH away again between now and when the baby come?
I have another friend being induced on the 12th. It is just baby central this time of year! Crazy! That's exciting that you have a date though- I'm jealous!
8.5lbs is a good size lil girl. The dr here said mine was probably 7.5lbs right now- I think I'm plenty happy with that size and she needs to come on out and not get bigger! 
I'm tired and achy and ready to meet her, but otherwise fine. I seem to have a few BH contractions each night, but nothing that sticks around.
DH's squadron has been really good about keeping him around here at the end. They have asked him to go on about 5 other trips, but luckily he's been able to say "my baby is due 8/15" and they have been like "oh yeah" and kept him here. He still flys, but just the local routes, not to other countries or overnight. There is always a chance he would have to go somewhere, but they try really hard to not do that. He has said it would have to be something major (think WW3) to drag him away. I do have a friend here set up as a back-up, just in case, but hopefully won't need that. I am hoping to only have to use her to go get a sandwich for Brett or something, but not the actual birth coach.
When is your mom coming? My parents fly in the 19th, so hopefully she arrives before then. We shall see...maybe our little ones will share a brithday. Good luck to ya- I'll be thinking about you on the 13th!
