Dr. Hugo Ferrara @ Palmetto or OBGYN rec?
Hi Ladies!
Wondering if anyone had any experience with Dr. Ferrara or any OBGYN options. My current doctor is super quiet and doesn't talk, I need someone that will talk to me and I could relate my issues too. I just need them to also be affiliated with either Palmetto, Hialeah or Miramar West Hospital.

I actually just wrote you on the SFL Baby board. In the beginning they will make you see a different doctor, but once you see the other doctor your next appointment you can make with Dr. Daniel. That's how good she is that everyone wants to see her only.
I told her that she had to deliver my baby I couldn't go through that without her being the one to deliver him and she made arrangements to do that. She truly cares about her patients. Just be patient and see the other Drs and eventually you'll be able to see her. It'll be worth the wait.
Thank you so much!!! I was really worried, because i have heard great things about Dr Daniel and i really want her to my my dr. Question... do they do the ultra sounds in their office?
My first apt is with Delgado next week.

i never post on here - im more a bumpie but just wanted to say:
i saw dr hugo ferrara for a couple of months before i became pg with my dd.....I HATE HIM
his staff is horrible, it took 3 nurses one time to draw blood, he's not very nice/reliable/patient at all....they never made return calls. i then switched drs and have been seeing dr monica daniels ever since...thank god for her
Really? What turns me off about his group is that it took me 3 days to get an appt everytime I called no one picked up. I have heard great things about Abreu never heard of Daniels. However, I have also heard of Dr. Uribasterra who does Miramar West incase anyone is interested.
I hate this I hate the gyno but I got to do it. I wish I found a gyno like my endocrinologist I LOVE HIM!
Thank you for your comment. I am going to make sure that they do NOT schedule me with him. I am not very patient and if i see that the Doctor is not listen or is being rude to me its going to be ugly.

this doctor is in another practice - dr hugo ferrera has nothing to do with femlife at all
I went to his office for non-pregnancy appointments and the three times I went I had to wait over 3 hours! And this was with an appointment! That office was a little ridiculous for me, so now I go to Dr. Emil Abdalla and he's part of a group of several doctors. The staff is super nice and he's a great doctor, answers all of your questions and doesn't beat around the bush. He's affiliated with Memorial Hospital West. (BTW, Memorial Miramar and Memorial West are two different locations). HTH!
You're welcome! You will really like their office, everyone is very nice. Yes, they do the ultrasounds in their office. You will be ok with Dr. Delgado. She is very quiet, not like Dr. Daniel who is a lot more talkative but Dr. Delgado is still nice. Just make sure to ask her whatever questions you may have. Just so you know also, whenever you have your appt. with Dr. Daniel the wait will be a lot longer, because she takes her time with every patient which is what I love. It is so worth the wait though. I am one that HATES waiting at the Drs office, but with her I don't mind because it's worth it once I'm in there. Let me know how it goes. Good Luck
Thank you so much for your feedback, this has put my mind at ease. Were you garaunteed that dr Daniel was going to deliver your baby? This is the only concern that I have since the office has more than one dr.

Well my situation was a little different, because I ended up having a c-section which yes was a lot easier to guarantee she was delivering the baby since that was scheduled. When you meet with her tell her that you would feel more comfortable having her deliver your baby and see what she says. Honestly, I think you will be ok with any of their doctors but if you feel more comfortable with her see what she tells you. I think if you had a regular delivery it would be a lot harder for her to guarantee that she delivers the baby since you don't know when you will go into labor and who is on call at the hospital.
I have been working with OB/GYN for 30 yrs. from LPN to Medical Billing Offie Manager. I have been doing consulting work for over 10 years for just OB/GYN so I have been in about over 20 OB/GYN offices.
Dr. Hugo Ferrara, has been my doctor over 20 yrs. besides my surgeon, he has performed surgery on me.
You do not see doctors that come to Holding for Pre-Surgery and info you he is running late, not once but several times. I know becasue I have been in the hospital with the physicians I have worked for.
All OB/GYN come across an ER and run late, but this does not happen everyday.
If you want a considerate, caring OB/GYN - Dr. Hugo Ferrara.
The worst doctor I have ever met with, because of him I started to go to the clinic, not reliable at all, only cares about a paycheck, he don't care for his patients at all, and he's a liar, he lied to me about his name after running into him again, and because of him I lost my son, because of him not being reliable and not caring, any ratings he has, must be from the nurses that work with him and himself, because I find it very impossible that anyone would recommend him. After I met with him, I refuse to ever see him, or even recommend him to anyone
