Found dog--upstate area

image

Last night my parents found this dog in their yard.  They live about halfway between Cherrydale and Paris Mountain State Park.  The dog is female, appears to be part golden lab, and is between 2-5 years old.

The dog has a collar on, but no tags.  If we can't find the owner this weekend, she'll be at the humane society near Cherrydale on Monday.

Re: Found dog--upstate area

  • Have you tried putting up fliers in neighborhoods and vet offices in that area?

    Hope she gets home!

  • Yup, my parents put up fliers at the entrances to their neighborhood where she was found...

...but you never know with dogs.  She could have come from anywhere.

With it being the weekend there isn't much they can do except for take care of her and keep her cool with this heat.

  • Aw, what a sweetie.  :(  I hate all of the strays around here, it makes me so sad.  Just a couple of weeks ago I picked up a puppy, completely flea ridden and starving, and no more than 7 weeks old near work.  I took her to the Humane Society.  Good for your parents for doing this!
  • You could try calling the various humane societies, pounds, rescues, etc and letting them know she's been found and where she is in case the owners start calling those places looking for her.

I hope you find her family soon!
