1. That's a tough one since I LOVE ethnic foods. I would have to say maybe Thai Spice, Cairo Cafe or Kabuto. My favorite way to find new restaurants is through www.indyethnicfood.com
2. Do foster dogs count? Not really, but I guess my Fiestaware? Within 10 years, I collected vintage hankies and rhinestone jewelry.
3. That's a tough one for me - I pretty much love almost every city I visit I guess Raleigh. I'm getting over the bitterness and hope I can go back and enjoy it soon.
4. uh, moderate left? Libertarian? I have no idea. I'm a journalist, so I tend to see both sides of everything, which makes it hard on most issues.

6. I can't stand it. I was dragged way too often as a kid and am still protesting. I was desperate for a buffet for storage and I found a 1950s modern (what I was looking for stylewise) for $50. Marked down from $350 It's not perfect, but it definitely does the job!
7. When I was employed, I LOVED field work. Some days the weather wasn't great, but the days with the perfect temp, sun and wind, I just had an amazing sense of calm Now I don't have much to look forward to. I guess getting certain tasks checked off is the highlight of my day.

1. Your favorite non-chain restaurant to eat at (website/address would be great for those looking for new restaurants )? I love Exotic Thai in Terrre Haute. The city is not at the apex of culture, but it is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I also love Snow Lion in Bloomington.

5. Favorite actor/singer? My favorite actors are Sean Penn, Anthony Hopkins and Philip Seymour Hoffman. I don't really have a favorite actress. My favorite singer...I don't know...Seal, Freddie Mercury or Adam Lambert come to mind.
6. Do you garage sale/flea market/antique? What is your favorite find so far? No...I don't have time and it takes time to do and find good things. I am not an antique fan either.

8. Name one favorite activity to do in your city. I am just outside Indy and there is literally nothing to do here. We don't even have a traffic light in my town. We have to go to Plainfield just to grocery shop and into Indy to do anything. We're only 5-10 minutes away though.

10. If you had 2 more hours in the day, what would you use them for? This is a lame answer, but whatever might need to be done that day that I could avoid pushing to the next day. That might be homework, cleaning, studying, relaxing, etc.1. Sandra Rice and Noodles at Pendleton Pike on the East side. If I have an unlimited budget I would go there for lunch and have Pho everyday. Plus, the owners Ha and Sang are awesome!

2. Do you collect anything? I've really tried to cut back on collecting things, although I guess I still get shot glasses for all of the places I travel to. The problem is I do not have a good place to put them and not make it look trashy.
3. Favorite US city to visit? I pretty much love to travel anywhere, but I really love Newport, RI. It is just so beautiful and the Newport Mansions are spectacular.

3 - oohh.. sooo tough!!! So far my favorites have been Boston and Salt Lake City Utah.. would move both places if I could.
4 - I am SUPER liberal socially and somewhat conservative fiscially... I am a green party girl with democratic tendancies but I vote for whomever I think/see has an appropriate "agenda" so I never vote a straight ticket.
5 - Actor/Actress - Adam Sandler (he's highly under appreciated for his range) and Jennifer Aniston (have you seen the good girl? She's got chops!)
6 - I got a beautiful linen, hand embroidered tablecloth at my home church's bazar... loves it!! (and it was only $7!!!)
7 - Honestly, I think it's talking people down from being super scared to okay... it's a weird thing this health education career... I love it..
8 - The art museum!!!! Wander around looking at the art, sitting and having a picnic, the grounds are just soo cozy. LOOVE IMA.

Not really... but I do venture into Goodwill (which is really just leftover crap from garage sales, flea markets, etc.) occasionally. I love their book selection and once I bought a REALLY cool antique table there for $20.

After 5 years, we've done both. Funniest one was this year- silverware for the traditional 5 year gift. Instead, my hubby bought me a necklace which was SILVER to WEAR.
