Why do paint colors always look different!?!?
So for the past year DH and I have been wanting to do our bedroom in the brown/seafoam/cream pallet. I haven't done it yet because we have had color disasters before. So I was looking through the latest Southern Living mag and they have pic of a bedroom in there that is exactly what I want and the bath is one shade lighter than the bedroom to give it some contrast. It's Sherwin Williams paint so I went on their website and see their links to the HGTV dream home. I've also been wanting to do an accent wall in the dining room and saw the color they did in the dream home. So I mosey on out to SW this afternoon and they are out of the base to make the bedtoom and bath sample paints so I end up with the DR sample. On the pic on the computer it looked like a burnt orangey/red with a hint of pink in it and it was gorgeous on there. So I had DH move the buffet and paint behind it and it's PINK. Well, more like a salmon color. I even went over it a 2nd time to see if it darkened and it's still pink. I am the WORST person at picking out paint colors!!! So now i'm afraid to even go back and get the samples for the bed and bath. Hopefully they will look like the magazine pic!
