Re: Daycare costs
Congrats on your pregnancy! The costs can really depend on many things, location, in-home vs center, etc.
We really lucked out. We found an in-home place (Bee Bop's little house) that has 12 kids with 2 providers (they also have a 2nd location now for kids over 2). They charge about $800 a month and provide all food (except when I breastfed, I would bring in frozen bags of BM a few times a week). We bring diapers and wipes once a month. We love the place and they treat DD like family!
We also visited a Kindercare near our place and they charged about $1100 a month. I know friends that pay $1300. Do you work? Does your work provide a dependent care FSA? If they do, you can put away up to $5000 pre-tax for daycare expenses.

The lady we have lined up does in-home and she charges $100 a week. We are VERY lucky.
I just hope she doesn't change her mind between now and then!

I had a great daycare center in Beaverton that I highly miss (Kids Kampus) that cost me $889 a month. I loved them but it was a bit much for me but I would go back there in a heart beat but we moved
I asked friends and found an at home that cost $29 a day. Which is great but I do believe you get what you pay for. She does a great job and my son is her only child every day but there isn't as strong of an educational environment.
I am not sure that helps.
