So exciting about Dani STTN again! I read your post earlier but I haven't had the chance to respond yet. It's been hairy around here!

We had to re-CIO this weekend due to travel and teething. DD got used to being cuddled before bed and it turned into everytime she woke up in the night we would have to go cuddle her back to sleep. After 3 sleepless weeks of hoping it would get better, we thought we better do the CIO since it worked so well last time. So we're good at night time now but naps are still difficult.

I wanted to ask you about Dani's naps. I remember a while back you said that her sleep cycles are around 40 minutes and when she wakes up from that it's hard to get her to continue her nap. Sammy is the same. It's 45 min. on the dot. I can never get her to go back to sleep. Now that you have done CIO has Dani's sleep cycle changed? If she wakes up after 40 minutes do you start the going in at 5 minute intervals again? Thanks - I'm at a loss for what to do about this one thing!

I read somewhere that once they fall asleep on their own either for bedtime or naps, if they wake up part way through it's okay to go in and rock or cuddle them so they will sleep again. Apparently it's b.c once they learn the idea of falling asleep on their own they can recreate it. It seems backwards to me though.
