If you have animals...come in

DO you know anything about Bee's Ferry Vets? I see they do a lot of work with a store called All is Well, which is holistic and supports local rescues. A plus in my book!

I appreciate any feedback you can offer. I am looking for a vet for my 6 y/o pit bull. She is very healthy, but we are new to SC and she isn't doing so great in this heat! I prefer vets who take a more holistic approach.

TIA!

  • we use bees ferry veterinary hospital for our black lab mix.  no compliants here, although we've never really had any medical issues with our 3 year old.  all is well is a great dog food store across the street where we get california natural or the occasional dog treat.  all is well has a chain of stores in the charleston area.  when i was looking to switch to healthier dog food, they seemed like the place to go.  you should also give parson jack's cafe a try which is in the same shopping center on shelby ray ct.  they are extremely dog friendly and if you dog does well in public, it is a great place to grab a bite to eat or drink together.  let me know if you have any other questions & welcome to the area :)

Thanks! I went into All is Well last night for some bully sticks and checked out their stock. They sell all the food brands I feed to my dog and my foster dogs so great news there!

We ate at Parson Jack's last weekend! Yummy spicy fried shrimp. OMG, that was GOOD. Thanks for the feedback!

Where do you like to buy wine? And do you have rec's for where to get my hair done?

    Thanks :)

  • i usually go to total wine on the corner or sam rittenberg & 61.  the liquor store next to publix on main rd/hwy 17 isn't bad-DH likes it.  i've been meaning to check out in good taste on ashley river rd for wine tastings.  avondale wine & cheese looks nice too.

i use stella nova by citadel mall.  i use whoever has a low price (~$40 I think) & available - tasha or billie typically.

  • Wow, thanks so much, jsvb! I will check out the wine shops this weekend!

I saw Stella Nova the other day- I think by the Pier 1. I notice they sell the shampoo I like, so I hoped they might come recommended! :)

  • i just moved to the area as well, and have heard fabulous things about stella nova- thinking about going there in the next couple of weeks. does anyone have a rec for a particular stylist there?
  • I used Bees Ferry as well. No complaints other than my german shepherd mix did not like Dr. Leffler.  I always used Costco, Total Wine, or World Market for wine. I had terrible service at the Stella Nova in West Ashley, so I'd never recommend them.  On the other hand, I've had nothing but fantastic service from Alena at Escape Salon & Spa in N. Chas.
