Another Upstate GTG idea

Again ladies, sorry I won't be there tonight, but I did find out that I REALLY need to go to the training tonight at church.  It includes first-aid training etc which I've never had so I need to go.

I did have an idea for another get together.  DH and I went to Larkins on the River last night in downtown Greenville.  We went to Wine on Wednesdays, and it's only $10 per person, and they had a wine tasting of 4 different wines, (you could have unlimited wine) and they also had appetizers.  We were really impressed with the appetizers, there were fruits and cheeses, duck, steak and chicken skewers, ceviche, and dessert.  It doubled as our dinner last night.

Anyway we left feeling like it had been a terriffic value and we had a really nice time.  they also had a guitarist providing live music.  They have it on Wed's from 5pm-6:30.  Would anyone be interested in doing this?  I thought it may be fun, but the time aspect (starting at 5) may make it hard for some of us.  Anyway it was just an idea for a future event.

We REALLY enjoyed it!  Our tickets were free for last night because DH's boss gave them to him, but we thought $10 was a STEAL.

It's held outside on a covered patio overlooking the Reedy.  It was really great.

I could *try* to come.  DH works late Wed nights, so I would have to have my mom come watch him.

Wednesdays this fall aren't good for me, but in January I could definitely do it.  I don't like wine, but I wish I did.  Maybe if I get a chance to try more wines I will find something I like.
