i posted this on the Nest Book Club page a few days ago...sorry I should have put it here too:
Didn't want to leave people hanging after my AW post yesterday. I
saw an advanced screening this morning and I have to tell you I was so
nervous to see it because I really really like the book but wasn't sure
how they would pull it off. so often book to film adaptations loose
something (as we all know)
BUT I'm happy to say that they did
a great job!! I think that if you loved the book you will like the
movie. I haven't talked to anyone who hasn't read the book that has
seen it so I'm not sure how newbies will feel but I think it is
accessible. I highly recommend you take some tissues with you!
So what did I like about it well....

***SPOILERS *****
I
felt like they hit all the key points in the book (mother's death,
their meeting, marriage, home life, rough times, baby, his death etc),
the way they show the time traveling works very well, they have
chemistry plus they age & get younger seamlessly.
It isn't perfect (a few times the lines felt a bit funny when they were delivered - sort of like in the start of the book when you are getting used to the time traveling) but i found I got over that pretty quickly.
I can't wait to hear what other people think. Yay!!
