Now that I am part time at work I want to start making the most of living in SD... can you ladies share what you do for fun here with as little $ as possible?
I have a zoo pass so we go to the zoo and sometimes balboa park (he's still a bit too young for some museums). We also go to the beach every once in a while and the mall to walk around... any other ideas?

Re: Free things to do in SD
He's still a bit young yet, but the New Childrens Museum is free on the first Sunday of the month (or at least it was). You can also "check out" the membership from the library (it's a long list, took me about 4 or 5 months to get the passes, but worth it and when you return it just put yourself on the list again).
Certain museums in Balboa Park are free on Tuesdays (I'm sure you know this).
What about story time at the library? Check their website, almost all of them do it.
That's all I got for now.
This is my favorite site...

There is a ton of inexpensive things to do and you can oftemn get free tickets to events.
Pottery Barn Kids does a free story time, its during the week so we always miss it. Barnes and Noble downtown does a free story time on sundays.
Thanks, ladies!
I'm sure E is ready for a bit of story time. He loves listening to people's voices
And great idea about checking out the membership from the library, Ali!
