Anyone ever been to a Marriage Counselor?
I really think my hubby & I might benifit from seeing someone. We just aren't seeming to connect lately and I think we need some help to figure out why. I was just wondering if anyone else has been to one and if it helped. Also if you can refer a specific counselor in the Madison Area that would be great!
Thanks!
Becky
Re: Anyone ever been to a Marriage Counselor?
Hi Becky!
First off I am sorry to hear that the road has been rough lately, but want you to know that I can relate and if you would like to email me off line, I'd be happy to give you my email. Hubby and I hit a bump that turned into a mountain during the last eight months or so. We started seeing a counselor about two months ago and have benefitted more than we could ever imagine from it. Her name is Holly Jorgenson and she is located at the Lake Monona Psycotherapy Center. She is no nonsense, and will not just smile and nod at you like some therapists are known for. She is challenging, but very kind. We are doing much better as a couple and have started seeing her less now, but will probably always keep her in mind for boosters as needed. Oh, and connecting was part of the problem (and still can be) for us and it has helped.
Good luck!
Beth
