Myrtle Beach Recommendations?

Hi SC Nesties!  :)  I am coming to visit Myrtle Beach in a few weeks (July 4th week) with the ILs, DH, DS, SIL, BIL, nephew, and a few others in ILs family.  I need some kid friendly recommendations of places (or places that we could use a day trip just the three of us) that we can take DS and/or nephew to (Eli is a little over 1 and my nephew is soon to be 2).  You will help prevent me from spending all freakin' day sitting next to MIL on the beach and potentially stangling her when she blatently disregards my requests for my son, lol.  We have been to Myrtle Beach before (in fact that's where DH proposed), but we didn't have kids then.  :)

Also are there any more classy places that DH and I could slip away to one night for dancing and/or dinner?  TIA!!!  :)

Re: Myrtle Beach Recommendations?

  • Broadway at the Beach has several things to kids can do; the aquarium, casual dining, lots of cute shops.

I don't know much about places you might take a 1 and 2 year old, though.

A very family friendly breakfast joint- Surfside Jenny's. It's in Surfside and you turn by the Hardee's. Cheap and very good breakfast.

Nice places the two of you can go: Italian- The Villa Romana ( you don't want to miss this place!), Latitude 22, Dockside Dave's isn't terrible, but we don't love the food. It's over priced and not the best. The view, staff, ambiance are all excellent though. New York Prime, Thoroughbreds, etc.

We have a beach house in Surfside and go all the time, so if you have more questions, let me know!
