s/o Who do you have for homeowner's insurance?
We have State Farm home, life and auto insurance, but I'm ready to shop around for new and better rates. Who carries your homeowner's insurance?
Thanks!
Re: s/o Who do you have for homeowner's insurance?
Same as our auto - Erie Insurance.
If I remember right, their rates on homeowners insurance were slightly less than other insurance agencies for equal coverage.
But again, it's all about the service in my eyes. If I'm truly in a time of need, I want to be with a company who will offer outstanding personal service, a quick response, and a fair price. Our local rep is just a fantastic guy and I know he'll go above and beyond for us. He truly makes us feel like we are his only customer!
We have Farm Bureau....and I'll tell you how much I like them in about a month.....when we get our tornado damage taken care of! Up to this point I am somewhat happy. We have our auto/home/life and DH's business insurance thru them. It took us a year to get our bill merged correctly after we got married. Their rates for home insurance were far below others, though (I recall checking State Farm & Allstate, plus others). Despite the billing, our agent is good. I called his cell phone Saturday morning and he called me later that day....he then called this morning to check up and make sure we got our claim filed. So, we'll see how this whole process goes, and I'll report back!
We just shopped around in the last couple of weeks as well. We also had State Farm and they are just ridiculous with how they keep raising their rates...we were paying $135/month for 2 cars with full coverage!
We have decided to go with Erie Insurance. They have the best rates around. We are now only paying $87/month for both cars and our home owners is around $430/year! We are saving about $550 year with the switch!
We know quite a few people that have had Erie for a while and they have no complaints. We would have paid about $72/month but I had filed a Comprehensive claim back in Sept. 2008 and for some reason they are considering it like an accident even though it was only because I need my windshield replaced because a rock flew off of a cement truck and hit my me! So, that was a little disappointing but other then that, their prices are amazing!
